Privacy
What we do with your data.
Short version: we ask for as little as possible, we run no ads and no cross-site tracking, and the only information we ask you for is what is on the join form. The long version, as the law requires it.
Who is responsible
- Controller
- KontorBund — an association in formation (Verein in Gründung), Vienna.
- Contact
- hello@kontorbund.com — write to us for anything on this page.
- Register and address
- [ZVR number and address once the register entry is through]
The founding-member list
The only form on this site is the sign-up for the founding list. If you use it, this is what happens.
- What you give us
- Your name or shop name, your email address, whether your business is based inside the EU, and — if you fill it in — what you make and where you ship.
- Why
- To count you as a founding member, to tell you where the association and the negotiations stand, and to work out which countries' rules apply to you. Nothing else.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the steps needed to prepare your membership (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Where it goes
- To our own CRM at capi.swelis.com, which stores the list on our behalf. It is not sold, not shared, and not used for advertising.
- How long
- Until you ask us to remove it. If the association never gets off the ground, the list is deleted.
- Your choice
- One email to hello@kontorbund.com removes you and your data. No reason needed, and no follow-up question.
Server logs
Like every website, ours is served by a hosting provider that records the technical data needed to deliver the page: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser's user agent. We use that only to keep the site online and to spot attacks, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept for [30 days — confirm with the host] and then deleted.
Traffic statistics
We count visits with the small script at the bottom of every page. There are no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no attempts to fingerprint your browser.
- What it sends
- The page address, the page title, the site you came from, and a random visitor ID.
- Where the ID lives
- In your browser's local storage, under the name
swelis_vid. It exists only so that several page views can be counted as one visitor instead of five. No other site can read it. - Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- How to switch it off
- Clear this site's data in your browser settings — the ID is gone and a new one will look like a new visitor. Blocking the script changes nothing about the site.
Fonts and external sites
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and Google learns your IP address in order to deliver the font files. We do that on the basis of our legitimate interest in a consistent design (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); we are looking at hosting the fonts ourselves.
The Discord Instagram TikTok is a separate service. Nothing connects to it until you click the invite, and from that point Discord's own privacy rules apply.
The EU EPR / PPWR Microbusiness Experience Survey runs on Google Forms and is led by Lea Henke | Lea Terletzki, independently of KontorBund. Answers go to the survey, not to us — KontorBund never receives access to raw survey responses. If you take part, the survey's own privacy information applies.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@kontorbund.com and we will answer within the statutory period.
If you think we are handling your data badly, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority: dsb.gv.at, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
